Thank You to those who selflessly helped the Goldens.
This picture reveals the feisty-fun-loving personality of Michael. These traits played a big part in his being such a successful entertainer and musician. Michael was born in Oklahoma to James and Lucille Golden where there were many fond memories, respect, and love for both of his birth parents. The family relocated to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, in 1961 when the ski town population was only 780 people, and where Michael's Father, James Golden was the Yampa Valley Electric President and ultimately became Mayor. James was the last person to hold the title of Mayor in Steamboat Springs.
Michael shared this beautiful life with two younger siblings, brother Tony and adopted sister Gina, who unexpectedly died at age 58, just 10 months after Michael passed. Michael lived a blessed life, growing up in days filled with the beauty and handiwork of G-d. The salient surroundings of Steamboat stood out to Michael, like the unique blue shade of the open Colorado sky, towering pines, majestic mountains, and the vast natural scenery. All of these beautiful surroundings inspired many aspects of his Western Music. You will hear Steamboat Springs mentioned in his trademark song Deena Rose, and more in his soon-to-be-released CDs Colorado Blue and Colorado and the Moon. Michael was a stickler about calling his music western because "western" was not only his roots, it was also more thematically focused on the topics he lived such as; cowboys, Americana, and service to his country. You will hear the mingling of heartbreaking relationships, dry wit, sarcastic expressions, ironic humor, the ups and downs of love, and even some yodeling. On his religious music CDs, you will hear many different cultural melodies and biblical themes honoring his faith. Michael started teaching himself how to play numerous instruments during his junior year in high school.
Throughout his extensive career and when attending university, he became highly proficient in over 18 instruments. Due to this versatility, he could regularly impress crowds and draw a massive following, appreciating the many genres of his music. He received a scholarship at the famous Steamboat Springs Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School studying alongside some soon-to-be notable Hollywood and music personalities while learning many talents on and off stage, benefitting him later in his professional career. He attended Colorado State College, aka the University of Northern Colorado, majoring in speech and drama, including "lead" in the university production of The Music Man before enlisting to serve his country in the Navy. Steamboat also welcomed Michael and The Starlite Ramblers to headline for several 4th of July concerts rodeos, and the Steamboat Pilot news frequently featured articles about him and his family. One should note when listening to Michael's CDs that he plays every instrument except percussion and is the only vocalist.
Michael enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1966-70 as a Liaison between the U.S. Airforce, servicing Vietnam flights into Clark AFB, Subic Bay. One assignment was preparing fallen soldiers to be returned to the U.S. and overseeing supply shipments through Asia. This position resulted in consistent, ongoing exposure to the Agent Orange Contaminated C-123 aircraft. Unknown at the time, daily exposure to AO during his prolonged assignment as a young man, directly contributed to what became a slow, steady, deterioration of his health. This repeated exposure ultimately caused Parkinson's disease and an unfortunate, long-suffering, painful, and untimely death for Michael. Decades after Michael served his country, the V.A. denied compensation to him on a technicality, stating he was Navy, not the Airforce, and therefore not assigned to duty on a C-123 aircraft, nor was he assigned to an Airforce squadron. His records show signatures and dates regarding training and exposure to sections of Practical Factors noted: NUCLEAR, BIOLOGICAL, AND CHEMICAL (NBC) WARFARE, yet, he was still repeatedly denied compensation.
Like many Vets, he did not speak much of his time serving during the Vietnam War, except about the disappointment in how Americans had been encouraged to despise the Vietnam Veterans and how poorly they were treated upon their return from duty. Agree or disagree, it is, unfortunately, essential that countries engage in war. Some could call it a necessary evil, and yes there are nefarious aspects. Media bias, free love, psychedelics, flower power, make-love-not-war, and the rebellious nature of the 60s contributed to the demonization of the Vietnam War and the many Vets who lost and risked their lives. Freedom is not free.
Michael and his band were a favorite of the Officers Clubs wherever he was stationed. He is pictured here at the Naval Air Station in Florida, where he began his Naval Air training. He had memorable opportunities like passenger flights with the Blue Angels.
When it comes to being willing to risk your life in military service to your country, you must comprehend your priceless freedom. Our unalienable and inalienable rights are endowed to us by G-d, and the price is the blessing to live as Americans. As those rights fade, one may better understand there will always be a high cost of obtaining, and retaining those freedoms, and that cost may be a life. When you serve your country, you go where you are sent. You don't get to choose which era you are born or necessarily get to choose the results. If you want your freedoms and a viable constitution, someone must be willing to pay the price, even for those who won't appreciate it. Michael was man enough to return from service with pride in America. He was a Veteran who fought for your right to voice your opinion, to live in a free country, to live under our U.S. Constitution, and to fly your American flag proudly. This meant a great deal to Michael, so he served his and your country. Like so many others, Michael Golden ultimately paid with his life so you can have freedom of speech, with independent choices of how you live each day with life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Even today Communistic influences negatively attempt to change our freedoms. Michael always said, "I served so you could have freedom of speech to voice your opinion, whether I agree with you or not."
This same perspective continued to be reflected in his choice to work at the conservative news talk Station American Freedom Network in Johnstown, Co., later in life. His newly released CD and title song called American Pride reveals the heart of the vet serving America, our lost soldiers, and appreciation of what our flag represents. This song may also be featured in an upcoming movie called Reagan. We hope it is included when the movie is released. www.imdb.com/title/tt1723808/

Michael was undeniably THE draw of Starlite Ramblers as Lead Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Across the country, he was known for his distinct voice and entertainment style. They were the opening act for: John Denver, Juice Newton, Jerry Jeff Walker, Doug Kershaw, Asleep At The Wheel, Ed Bruce, David Allen Coe, John Hartford, Doc and Merle Watson, Barbara Fairchild, Chris LeDoux, Elvin Bishop, Pure Prairie League, The Riders In The Sky, Alabama Band, The Sons Of The Pioneers, Michael Martin Murphy, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jimmy Buffet, and more. The Ramblers performed at the Phoenix Rodeo as headliners before nightly Crowds of over 75,000 people per show. Michael performed for Presidents Carter and Ford as well as many other world Dignitaries, and Celebrities. Their music played in over 29 states, and they were a big draw for the Aspen elites for many years.
Michael would humbly never brag about his interesting encounters, except sometimes when watching movies he would mention to his wife Dani, that he remembered several times when Clint Eastwood would rent the private room at the Onion in Aspen to watch the Ramblers or when on break he mingled with, The Smothers Brothers, Cloris Leachman, David Soul, Claudine Longete, Ken Curtis, Danny Thomas, and Charlie Pride. He would tell her how he did impersonations of Steve Martin to Steve Martin or joked with the Smothers Brothers, Cloris Leachman, and was told personally by Dr. Ruth, that he had certifiable sex appeal. He had shared about personally meeting Paul McCartney but didn't think it was such a big deal. He explained to Dani when the Ramblers were playing for Dan Fogelberg's ranch wedding, that Fogelberg brought him back to McCartney's private area of the house and introduced him.
The Starlite Ramblers became one of the most notable and unique Country-Western genre bands in Colorado history. Included in the GALLERY below are interviews featuring the multitude of Michael's talents propelling The Starlite Ramblers into not only a top Colorado Band but beyond. The band performed under Michael’s direction until he suffered respiratory arrest and heart failure, whereas The Ramblers subsequently disbanded. After a brief rest and recovery period Michael formed the Colorado Band.
Michael’s career has spanned many years. His creativity and talent have been enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. His voice is unique and immediately identifiable; it is the trademark of his talent. His songwriting was world-class. Michael has had several of his compositions recorded by artists in the Orient and Europe as well. Considered a consummate entertainer his wit and humor are equaled only by the warmth, ease of style, and comfort he brings to each performance.
From the live stage to recording studios like Caribou Ranch, Michael was truly one of a kind. Golden's stories could make you laugh and cry about his days on and off stage. He was always a leader and crowd-drawing favorite, rising above the occasional neophyte, and typical issues in bands like drugs, alcohol, insecurities, narcissism, or competition. Michael instead was quick to point out the other talents and praise the band members, showcasing everyone else on stage with him. Those who knew and followed The Starlite Ramblers, including the other band members themselves, admit Michael was the reason they became so successful. Michael's enormous talent continued to draw thousands a week in to hear the band play during their peak notoriety. The Starlite Ramblers were inducted into the Colorado County Music Hall of Fame in August 2021, only five months before his death. Regardless, in the music business, the cream-of-the-crop rises to the top, recognized, adored, and well...Golden was always golden, standing above the crowd. Michael regularly had fans recognizing him off-stage, which meant a great deal to him to have the opportunity to personally talk with them. They would excitedly tell him how much his music meant to them or that it changed their lives.
Away from the bar scene and stage days, as he matured and realized what was important in life, all that glittered had little more value than memories. Michael attributed all of his success to G-d, whom he honored with his religious Messianic music and produced three CDs in that Genre. While simultaneously fighting LYME, and Michael incapacitated in a Nursing Facility, Dani tirelessly worked for a year alongside Galilee of the Nations, Nashville Producer Yochanan Marcellino. The four CDs on this site were published and released worldwide just months before his death.
From 1995-2018 Michael wore many hats working at Colorado's KHNC Radio. His multitude of talents was again reflected as he filled the simultaneous positions of; Station Manager, Operations Manager, Programming Director, Recording Producer, Voice Over Talent, all the technical aspects, and more. This was also where Michael had his more formal introduction to Danette aka Dani Daniels. She came to work at the station in late 2003 as Sales and Promotions Director and talk show host. The two ended up working side-by-side in their successful broadcast positions for over 15 years. Michael also had natural gifts to work on all of the hardware and software, making him well-suited as a Webmaster and perfect for the multi-tasking needs at this eclectic radio station.
Michael was also a talented Radio Show Co-Host, heard locally and nationally when broadcasting with station Owner and Pastor Don Wiedeman. Don a loving, kind, and obedient servant of YHVH G-d with his wife Sharon, poured their heart and soul into fulfilling the given vision for the radio station. Michael, a licensed Minister, in tandem with Pastor Don, shared the passion to present The Good News of Yeshua/Jesus to the world on the daily Ahavat Torah Show. Early in the station's life, Michael also assisted in publishing a Radio Network magazine with his now-late wife Renee'. Michael operated most of the technical and physical tasks at the station to keep it running with his vast G-d-given talent! A Client generously credited Don as the Visionary and Originator of KHNC, adding; "KHNC would not have operated long without Michael's multitude of talents." He highly respected Don, and personally assisted Don daily as the owner started diminishing in physical health before the radio station was eventually sold. Michael also gave his son Cody great opportunities at the station, creating a father-son team to work alongside each other, introducing his son to the world of live AM radio, board operations, and the FCC. The article to the right explains a local pre-release of one of Michael's first praise and worship CDs. This is one of the same CDs that is a part of the new Trilogy of Praise and Worship CDs released by Nashvilles' Galilee of The Nations label. These are now available on a worldwide basis anywhere music is sold. Being generous, Michael donated most of the proceeds of the pre-release of this first praise CD to the radio station. Michael always said the most important part of working at the radio station was sharing the message of Yeshua/Jesus and the salvation offered to all Mankind through His shed blood that cleanses us from all sin. He always said, "It's ALL about Yeshua/Jesus." The Goldens had the privilege of introducing the KHNC audience to Dr. Baruch Korman of LOVEISRAEL.ORG, who presents an in-depth study on the full Gospel of G-d's word. Dani was also a founding member of http://lostintranslationministry.org A North American Team for establishing home bible study groups. "I will never get married again." That's what you would hear from both Michael and Dani. Unbeknownst to her, she was about to become his new bride only one year after working at the radio station with Michael. Neither of them easily acknowledged the divine interventions that simultaneously occurred long before their professional collaboration. Of course, these events included music, a radio station, congregational dance, a music ministry, a dying woman's wishes, and some accidental gifts of the wrong CDs. As much as they tried to deny the unusual events, they would ultimately humble themselves and respond to what was G-d's intervening will. However, before the more obvious inklings of marriage or courting, Dani went out of her way to ensure their work relationship stayed professional and was also somewhat blind to the fact that Michael had developed feelings for her. She admits there were times of purposely being cold to him and ironically clarified to him one day that she "wasn't going to be a replacement for his late wife." She knew saying that to a man still exhibiting prolonged grieving and sorrow for the last couple of years was on the harsh side but felt it necessary to keep a strictly professional relationship and tame any hopes of anything transpiring. In the meantime, they interacted constantly, six days a week working in the same office space and attending the same Congregation. Michael was part of the Worship Team at their Congregation, and Dani danced with the Worship Team and was a contributing choreographer so they had corporate interactions frequently at their Congregation. Both were focused on their professional careers while attempting to convince themselves to never remarry, they would be heard saying; "I won't do that again." A statement having nothing to do with Michael's song by the same name...obviously! The close, personal interaction continued as Michael trained Dani in additional aspects of radio, such as writing effective commercials and performing voiceovers. Dani continued to make an ongoing effort to keep a distance during this time but repeatedly observed this G-dly man's behavior and grew in respect for this Widower's integrity over time. She noticed this Widower show respect for his late wife Renee' and how she had remained dedicated to her faith as she was dying. He cared for her until her premature death at age 46. Dani was also impressed by how Michael remained deeply dependent on his faith in Yeshua/Jesus, maintaining high moral character, and integrity throughout the grieving process. While Michael had never said a word, the irony mentioned earlier was Renee's daughter, Caryl, told Dani just two years before Michael's death, that her mom said on her deathbed that she wanted Michael to marry her. Another odd fact was that Renee' passed away on June 8th at the young age of 46, and Dani was 46 when she and Michael married. Dani's birthday is on June 8th. Dani still has a photo she did not know at the time was being taken of her while she danced with a troupe at an event. She only found out after she and Michael married years later, that the photo had been taken by Renee' two years before Renee' died.
Since the initiation of their interactions, Dani was still not paying much attention to the fact that Michael was a well-known professional musician and renowned talent. She had no idea about his past music days and fame nor acknowledged the platinum album on the wall over his office desk. She focused on work because she was a single parent and had to provide for her family. After working together for a year, Michael worked up the courage to ask Dani if he could "court" her. She knew a man with Jewish heritage, and who was Born-Again was a unique combination. By this time, she was willing to spend a little time with him but after several interactions, the courting only lasted two months. There was just nothing in her heart except a possible friendship with Michael. She kindly explained to him there was no way she would continue to see him outside of work. Acknowledging some of her previous relationship choices were less than successful, she began wondering if she was making the wrong decision by cutting things off with Michael. In genuine heartfelt prayer, she humbled herself admitting "my picker is poor" and asked the L-rd to change her heart toward Michael if that was HIS will to change it, and to help her if she was too blind to see what the L-rd desired for her. She was in for a big shock. The Holy Spirit/Ruach HaKodesh, moved deeply within her heart that same night. She woke up stunned the next morning realizing The L-rd answered those prayers and had changed her heart in such a profound way because there was no doubt, she was now deeply in love with Michael. She called Michael, explaining she did want to move forward with the relationship, and awkwardly shared what had happened the previous night. That "courting" thing was on again, and Dani remembered many years before she had been given some Holy Spirit-inspired words to a song. She asked if he would like to look over the words she had written down because she knew back then they should be set to music. He happily agreed. Calling her the next evening he shared these finished thoughts as if he had known Dani's heart for decades. Michael had completed the lyrics with a melody, laid the phone down, picked up his guitar, and proceeded to serenade her over the phone. They got married about a week later. The song is titled Heaven's Eyes and it is their co-written love song now published on the Worship and Warfare CD. What a blessing to obey divine direction. Michael was a good provider, a man of strong G-dly character, a wonderful, kind, loving husband to Dani, and an outstanding father figure to her children and his son.
Unfortunately, it was early in the marriage when Michael's history of chronic health issues became more prevalent. Years before in 1982, Michael would have his first of many close brushes with death, or one may say he died and came back from an asthma-induced heart attack with no vital life signs for about nine minutes. He was in a nine-day coma, only to recover miraculously with no permanent damage. You can read the details in the newspaper article in the photo section below.
It wasn't but three months into their new marriage that Dani first rushed Michael to the E.R., due to one of his asthma attacks. No surprise to either of them the good L-rd would have it that Dani's background included 30 years of study in natural and functional health modalities. She was also adept in understanding traditional Western Doctors' practices and soon realized the urgent need to develop natural protocols for Michael that traditional Doctors would accept. Dani had done the same thing a dozen years earlier when her son became fully paralyzed at four months old. He nearly died in her arms but was subsequently placed on months of life support in the Denver Children's Neo-Natal ICU from typically fatal and rare Infant Botulism until some recovery was achieved. She went to work figuring out how to now treat Michael's condition as naturally as possible. With the direction of the Spirit of G-d, 200 hours of research, and designing effective protocols, he was cleaned up from his previously lifelong asthma diagnosis and lived asthma-free for the last 14 years. However, there were other strange and deleterious health symptoms continuing to emerge. While Michael's health had improved to a great degree after they married, one of his Doctors unfortunately administered a hormone shot without Dani's knowledge. This resulted in another severe medical crash for Michael, as he lost 40 pounds in two weeks and was unable to function fully for several months. He was kept alive by months of IVs until he started rebounding. Over the years, and after he and Dani had seen 18 Doctors, including work with the Veterans Administration, they all determined the many symptoms were not exclusively from the recent injection. This combination of events aggravated the complex chemical sensitivities that originated from his prior exposure to Agent Orange in the 1970's.
An unfortunate and fateful picture was emerging as there was an underlying, slow, and painful decline ahead. Hence, there were countless near-death events during his last ten years of life. Dani renamed him "The Comeback Kid" and for their entire 17-year marriage Dani would be his long-term health caretaker. Accordingly, she would ultimately have to make numerous, difficult, life-and-death decisions during the last decade of Michael's life. He ultimately suffered horribly with over 55 visits to the ER in a short period, 17 hospital and five rehab admissions, numerous surgeries, cancer scares, bi-lateral hip breaks with replacements, eight broken ribs, a broken L-1, a broken finger, 18 outpatient procedures, and over 25 different diagnoses.
Dani faithfully stood by his side daily as an attentive wife, however, the stress took its toll as she also became extremely ill while taking care of Michael. Statistically, it's not unusual for the caretaker to die or get sick at the same time they are providing long-term care for a loved one, especially during such a protracted period. As Michael declined, Dani was diagnosed with a relapse of debilitating LYME, more than likely triggered by traumatic stress, as she cared for Michael on a 24/7 basis for many years. Through extensive testing and four prolonged hospital stays totaling 58 days, she was confirmed to have over 30 co-infections and, once, briefly lost the ability to walk on her own. At any given point, she was under the care of eight Doctors while simultaneously caring for Michael as he deteriorated. She endured two knee surgeries, minor neck surgery, and shoulder procedures. She received approximately 600 prescribed medical IVs, 30 hyperbaric chamber sessions, seven sedated hyperthermia treatments, and many other modalities that have been successful in the process of rebuilding her health. During this same time, Doctors utilized over 200 injection procedures to address and restore six blown discs in her back, sprained muscles, and torn ligaments from physically having to pick Michael up, dress, shower, or move this 6'4' man.
During one of the 14 emergency ambulance calls for Michael, they waited as a Fireman looked Dani in the eyes and stated "You are the most courageous woman I have ever met." This Fireman had been in the same restaurant with Michael and Dani and had been astutely observing them both before his collapse.
Her medical friends say her extensive health knowledge helped her make the right decisions that appeared to preserve Michael's life many times. Once more specific diagnoses were made the natural program she designed helped to diminish his worsening symptoms of the horrific Dyskinesia effects of Parkinson's. Dani also received invaluable medical input and remains immensely appreciative to Dr. Tony Golden, Michael's brother, who was always willing to answer her calls and questions and assisted her in making some of the more complicated medical choices. Her best friend was an R.N. and not only helped with input on some decisions but was also Dani's backbone of prayer, encouragement, and support.
These concerted efforts paid off as Michael astoundingly and repeatedly rebounded from the brink of death on at least ten occasions. One friend noted, "This guy has more lives than a cat!" Dani was encouraged by her and Michael's medical providers that she was a hero for caring for her husband for so long and that her level of care for him was stated by Dani's orthopedist as a "Herculean effort." They finally insisted she stop performing 24/7 health care for him by herself because the stress was continuing to deteriorate her health and was threatening her life.
No longer able to medically care for Michael on her own, the difficult time came when Michael had to transfer to a long-term-care facility for the last couple of years of his life. His level of care far exceeded any one individual's ability to meet his extreme medical needs even though they both had hoped he could die at home. Neither of them would have ever imagined what it was going to be like for Michael to have to live in a nursing home, let alone a nursing home during COV 19. It was sheer hell on earth for both of them. Dani said, "Even outside of Cov 19 I don't know how someone without some medical acumen and strong ability to advocate, ever gets through the horrifying experiences in a Long Term Care Facility because they nearly let him die three times!" Even the E.D. team at the nearby hospital was repeatedly stunned by Michael's poor level of care when the ambulances would bring him in from the facility. Dani will share "It was the support of some special people and the L-rd that got them both through the non-stop, horrific times while he was in that facility." As noted, even with her health deteriorating she did all she could to care for her dying husband and advocate for him daily while in the nursing home. It took a deleterious toll on both of them. She states, "It felt like the very essence of life was persistently being sucked out of us simultaneously. However, this is what a spouse does, even if it is the entire span of your marriage. It is one of the toughest, divine assignments you may have in your lifetime." Michael did pass in the LTC facility during the tail end of the Cov 19 debacle.
While in deep mourning and healing, Dani's recovery has been amazing. Her doctors tell her repeatedly that she is a walking MIRACLE. She depends on the mercy and protection of YHVH G-d every day, knowing "G-d has a heart and cares for the Widow." Ani Le Dodi Ve Dodi li - Baby, I am heartbroken we only had 17 years together.
As noted earlier in this Bio, there was a blending of families when Michael and Dani got married. On Michael's "Resume of Importance," serving his G-d was #1, and Family was #2.
About ten years into their marriage and as Michael is showing more and more signs of illness, they were able to get three of the children together for a family picture. Michael's son Cody is the farthest left, and the two taller ones are Dani's two children Alayna and Adam. Caryl, Michael's stepdaughter from his marriage to his late wife Renee' and Caryl's daughter Kailey lived out of state and were unable to be in the family picture. All of the children Michael was a father figure to would say he was a kind, thoughtful, gentle, loving, generous man, and contributed so much quality and value to their lives. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Dani's children were blessed to have him in their lives for 17 years and received a father's love, respect, and care from him that they had not known before. Michael took his job as a father seriously and nearing the end of his life, said he wished he had the opportunity to have had even more time together as a family. Caryl will tell you her endless stories of what Michael's fathering meant to her as she grew up. All of these children were recipients of the G-dly impact of Michael's patients, parenting, and grace, gladly owing him a debt of gratitude for his dedication and love to them.
ADDED July 2024 NOTES:
Recently found Memoir written by Michael Golden.
In late 1979 I found myself sitting in one of the world’s most exclusive recording studios. By world standards an up-and-coming successful musician, singer, and songwriter. I have performed for Presidents, dignitaries, and celebrities. I was recording my 3rd album (I would eventually release a total of 8 albums of original music.) To the outsider, my life appeared to be good. Inside I was in a rapidly failing marriage, my second. A stranger to my infant son, financially strapped, and my health deteriorating by the minute. On the particular night in question, I cried out to GOD as most people do when they are at or near the bottom. At the time I thought GOD had ignored me, but our timing is not GODs timing’s. I was drinking and drugging myself into what 2 short years later would result in a respiratory arrest and heart failure that would leave me dead for over 12 minutes. GOD intervened and spared me through a set of miraculous events I was totally unaware of or chose to ignore. Though I recovered my marriage came to an end and my career slowed to a crawl. Several years later I remarried and began chasing my dreams again, without GOD in the picture. My 3rd wife supported my goals and shared my dreams but fell ill 2 years into the marriage and I had to abandon my career to take care of her. We both came to faith in Messiah Y’shua 3 years into the marriage and though I was no longer playing music I recorded a praise and worship CD. My wife passed away in 2003 and that was the final blow for me. I raised my hand against the sky and prepared to curse GOD and die. I asked why he had cursed me with the gift of music. It had cost me everything, marriages, children, finances, health, friends, and family, and had left me alone. What kind of a gift is that, and what kind of a GOD gives such gifts? It was here that GOD answered me. Like with Job GOD began a work of restoration, giving back all that Satan had taken. GOD showed me how he had saved me in 1982. He showed how I had chosen not to honor him with the gifts he had given me. He revealed to me that I had lived a life of bondage by my own choice and that HEtha had always been there to bring me out. On October 8th 2004 Danette and I were married. Within the first year,, GOD called us to minister to those in bondage through music and dance. We have released 2 new Praise and Worship CDs that have sold worldwide. That night in 1979 I would never have believed that I would be standing here today a licensed minister, Hebraic roots teacher, and radio Bible teacher. GOD is indeed good.
B'Shem Y'shua "
In His Name, Pastor Michael
Many would think music would be the #1 priority in Michael's life. However, his greatest love, focus and accomplishments as stated so many times before, was to serve his Lord Yeshua/Jesus, the soon returning Messiah. Then came family and job.
He took his service seriously, regardless of the consequences. He often received death threats after Co-Hosting the nationally broadcast Hebrew Roots radio show, Ahavat Torah, however, with grace he ignored such hatred and anti-Semitism.
He would chuckle as a listener would hatefully call in, yelling at him, accusing him of being a "dirty New York Jew."
With that intellectual dry sense of humor, he would say..."I have never been to New York."
Anti-Semitism is a scourge on mankind.
Scripture says: Num. 24:9 Whoever blesses Israel will be blessed, and whoever curses Israel will be cursed”. Michael read and spoke Biblical Hebrew avidly, integrating this into his Messianic music, just as he integrated his awe of G-d's creation into his Western Music.
Michael Golden was a Licensed Minister, he was a Group Leader, he taught the fullness of scripture, cover to cover, and was the Pastor and Worship Leader at The Voice Of Many Waters Congregation in Johnstown, Colorado for over nine years.
Many honor, love and respect Michael for his Messianic Leadership and decades of community contribution.
This was one of the most recent pictures taken of Michael shortly before he went to be present with his L-rd. We know now, he is out of the excruciating physical pain he endured for decades and that he now leaps for joy in full health and is no doubt singing praises to His G-d and King on heavens Golden Streets.
Michael and Dani would ask you; What are your life's priorities? Do you have eternal life through Yeshua the Messiah/Jesus the Christ?
Consider your days for they are short and there really is a day of judgment coming.
Psalm 90:10
As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years, or if due to strength, eighty years, Yet their pride is but labor and sorrow; for soon it is gone, and we fly away.
